It is like hanging in flight, down here, so close to the sky and connected with the earth. They are souls to be touched, to be near or far.
Unknown, primitive peoples, in permanent link with their natural environment. What we were and what we forget. They are magical clothes, second sacred skins, worn by one man or one woman.
No matter the time, the century, they are legacies in our contemporary spaces to deliver their stories down here. Sacred legacies that remind us that at one time man was in deep connection with the visible and the invisible, with his environment.
Materials : Plant bades dye, Kampuchea wood. Gold yarn. Pine cones. Raw wood.

True artworks, they express Karine N'guyen Van Tham's patience and passion for weaving and ceremonial textile art.
All the pieces are minutely woven on a Japanese loom with precious and natural fibers dyed by the craftswoman herself are used.
It takes about four meters of woven fibers, several days of assemblies and embroidery for a piece to emerge.
The transparency and lightness of the weaves mingle with pine cones, a raw and natural material. It requires time and a specific process created by Karine N'guyen Van Tham. Embroidered by hand, pine cones sublimates the pieces and suspending them out of time.
The Wall Kimonos and Hanging Clothes are an imaginary heritage of rituals, poetry and natural.
